Hello and welcome to our small quaint farm, "Valley View Farm", tucked away in a quiet little valley in the mountains and hills of northeastern Putnam County Tennessee on the edge of the Cumberland Plateau.  We are by no means the largest or oldest of cattle operations around, just a small family owned cow-calf farm operation established in 2005.  Our family enjoys raising and working with beef cattle and particularly the Gelbvieh and Gelbvieh Balancer breeds.  Our herd includes approximately 30 brood cows and a herd sire with some limited AI work-calving with a primary fall calving season.  Our entire herd is registered with the American Gelbvieh Association and the herd contains some of the leading names and genetics in the Gelbvieh breed.  Our herd EPD's are in the top percentiles in the breed and all herd animals are polled purebred Gelbvieh and Gelbvieh Balancer animals, including both red and Black colors.

Our mission is to produce high quality polled black and red Gelbvieh and Gelbvieh Balancer (Gelbvieh-Angus Cross) cattle at a reasonable price that will work as seed stock quality animals for use by the purebred producer or for use by the commercial cattle herdsman.  We try to place more emphasis on the quality of our cattle and not necessarily on the quantity.  Most of our female calves are marketed as young prospective replacement females at or shortly after weaning with the majority of bull calves marketed as young herd sire prospects after weaning and preconditioning at around 12-15 months old.  Ninety Five percent plus of our annual sales are direct sales to the buyer straight off our farm, not at organized sale events.

If you are looking to add some good quality Gelbvieh or Gelbvieh Balancer genetics to your cattle operation, just call, stop by, or visit and maybe we can help you with your needs.  Even if you don't buy, we will still enjoy your company of talking and looking at cattle!  Thanks for visiting our website and have a great day.
